Hi, my name is Biba Pedron, originally from France, my mission is to help women solo-entrepreneurs attract more clients and make more money by coaching them on coordinating their business success with their personal style.

You may know me as a Marketing Expert & Brand Strategist. When I started out in the US in 2003, I could barely speak English, didn’t know anything about networking and had no connections. Within 2 years, I wrote a book “Start Your Dream Business Today” and had become know as “The Connection Queen“. Clients were asking for my secrets. Since then I have grown 2 international businesses specializing in helping people like you develop businesses with effective networking and marketing strategies. Then I also became one of the Top 2 Women in France recognized as a successful coach in internet marketing for the French market.

What you may not  know about me, is that I’ve always had an interest in styling for the business professional. Since my twenties, friends or family members have come to me for advice on dressing for casual or professional occasions. While I was still living in France I was even designing and creating my own clothing. Since I moved to the US, I am still surprised by being asked where did I buy my clothes, shoes or accessories, what brands or designers. Inevitably the question I get is “Biba, how did you find your style?”

When I was organizing networking events in New York, I was amused to learn that a few of the women started a contest to guess what color handbag or shoes I would wear to that night’s event. I kept them guessing! These solo-entrepreneurs were commenting that I looked “so French, always classy and elegant” but I was buying most of my clothes in New York. What was so French about my style?

                                                  At 3 years old, already a fashionista

Once I posted on Facebook a photo attending a VIP networking with an evening dress. A woman left a comment “You look very elegant Biba” and another one reply “Normal she is French, it is in her genes”. Considering my family comes to me for fashion advice, I’m not sure if it’s in my genes, but I enjoyed the compliment. Maybe fashion styles come more natural for French women, I will let you be judge on this. Same as the book “French Women Don’t Get Fat”, I’m not sure it is a 100% true but it is always a pleasure to get compliments.

For the past 9 years, I helped hundreds of small business owners, mainly women solo-entrepreneurs, to grow their businesses with networking and marketing strategies through business makeovers to take them to the next level. But at some point I realized, always having questions about clothes, accessories and style, that one of the challenges for some women is not just about their businesses, but also their style and self esteem.

That’s why I created “Your Business In Style” to help women (and men) not only to have a successful business but also be confident in their style and professional look.

Have you seen the TV show “We Mean Business” with Bill Rancic, 1st winner of “The Apprentice” with Donald Trump? With his team including a tech and master designer they worked to give the professional entrepreneur a complete overhaul. They not only do a makeover of the retail store, but also adapt the look of the staff to be in complete harmony with their new business image. Well, my mission is the same, but is geared towards helping women solo-entrepreneurs to have their business and image/style in complete harmony to become very successful.

Think about the last person you spoke to who gave you a great first impression. I bet they exuded self confidence and made you feel more confident about your first meeting. Do you want to have the same affect on people?

Image is all about how another person perceives you. You only have the first 10-30 seconds to send out the right vibes. Your appearance is one of the only elements a prospective client has to judge your credibility. In other words, if you wear a style that fits your image, attitude and what you want the world to know about you you will project a confident self. Think of your attire as one of the ways you can achieve a sort of non-verbal communication with your target market. You’ve probably heard the phrase “fake it until you make it” but appearance is one of the areas it just doesn’t cut it. Your style cannot be faked.
